A. Lynn White
Ø Apr.29, 1907-Mar. 30,1987
Ø a professor of medieval history at Princeton
from 1933 to 1937, and at Stanford from 1937
to 1943

Ø His major contribution:
       -Spinning wheel, a prime factor in the development of printing technology




B. Johannes Gutenberg

Ø (1395-1468),
           
Ø a German inventor
           
Ø born in Mainz, a member  of the aristocratic
 

 Gensfleisch family



Ø His major contribution:
     -  printing press and the first printed book was

        the BIBLE










C.  Maria Montessori
Ø  (1870-1952), Italian educator and physician

Ø  Her major contribution:
Ø Montessori Method, which developed
graded activities to provide for the proper
sequencing of subject matter for each

individual learner.






D. Charles Babbage
           
Ø (1791-1871)

Ø English Mathematician; ”Father of Computers”
           
Ø His major contribution:
Ø Computing Machine, which laid the

foundation of the modern computer in 1883




Analytical Engine
- a proposed mechanical general-purpose computer designed by English mathematician and
computer pioneer Charles Babbage.

                      - an automatic mechanical calculator designed to
                         tabulate polynomial functions

F. Benjamin Bloom
